A downloadable game

Kami is a tabletop roleplaying game about ordinary people exploring Japanese mythology and supernatural phenomena. This game is made for the Eternal TTRPG Jam April 2025

As with most of my projects i’ve doomed myself with my over ambition. This version of Kami is rough and undifined, theres much more to be done.

This version of the game is more or less a proof of concept, and in the coming weeks, perhaps months, i will be releasing a revised edition of this game.

A far more refined version with more content, a version that actually has been play tested. If the previous version of the game was my first rough draft, this upload is my second draft, and Kami Revised will be the final.

For those who enjoyed what they’ve read in this booklet, or even decided to give playing this game a shot, thank you.

I hope to impress with the next version of this game, whenever that may be.

This looks super cool!  I can't wait for the final draft!  Overall the document is great, but I have a few notes:

  1. It kept saying "Slick Test" but at the end it says "Skill Test".  Which is it?
  2. More info on the spiritual world would be great.  Maybe a sample adventure scenario?
  3. It could use some DM advice on how to run the game.

I’m glad you like it!!! And thank you so much for the feedback

For Your first comment thanks for pointing that out, it’s slick because originally I was calling the Cool stat Slick, when I changed it I forgot to fix it elsewhere.

I’ll keep the other two suggestions in mind and see what I can do without making things too long, if I don’t include those in the game jam version they will be for sure included in the revised version I plan to work on after the jam
